At Chiko Soap, every soap bar is handmade with natural ingredients and crafted to be gentle on sensitive skin. All of our soaps are suitable for a wide range of skin types, offering a safe and nourishing cleanse without harsh chemicals or preservatives.

Our Kawakawa Soap Bar begins with leaves from NZ native medical herb ”kawakawa” plants carefully grown in our own garden. Traditionally, kawakawa leaves that have been gently nibbled by insects are believed to hold stronger vitality. Following this wisdom, each leaf is harvested one by one, washed, oven-dried, and then infused in plant oils for a week. Only once the essence of kawakawa has fully enriched the oils do we begin crafting the soap.

The result is a soothing herbal bar that calms and nourishes the skin while offering a gentle cleanse. Naturally unscented except for the subtle earthy aroma of kawakawa, it is ideal for daily use on both face and body, especially for those seeking a natural and balanced skincare routine.

We care deeply about you and your skin, creating each bar with the belief that cleansing should be safe, nurturing, and comforting in everyday life.

To preserve freshness, store in a cool, dark place. Wrapping in kitchen paper or similar is recommended. The bar may continue to cure and mature, developing a smoother lather over time.

Size: Approx 100g.

All of our soaps are crafted entirely by hand. Each bar is carefully cut to approximately 110–115g to anticipate the natural reduction in weight over time as it cures and dries. Please allow for slight variations between pieces, as this is part of the handmade process.

Caution

Although our soaps contain no additives, they may cause eye irritation if they come into contact with the eyes. If this happens, rinse thoroughly with water. Some individuals may also be sensitive to natural ingredients, so we recommend a patch test before use.
